Tes Awards for International Schools 2025

I’m so thrilled to have won this award. It’s an absolute privilege to have been recognised by Tes for leadership in international schools, and this accolade is truly a reflection on our fantastic school, and the incredible pastoral team and students who I’m lucky enough to work with every day. Thank you to Tes for recognising and celebrating the work of international schools around the world – it’s a fantastic initiative.

This award is for the entire learning support team at Rainbow International School Uganda. They currently provide a high level of specialist services here in East Africa. Our approach is collaborative and evidence-based, with every educational experience planned with purpose and intention. We also share our knowledge with other regional stakeholders to raise awareness and, hopefully, improve lives. It's great to know we’re on the right track and we’ll continue to work hard for our young people and their families.

I’m humbled and honoured to receive the inaugural Tes Awards for International Schools Principal/Head Teacher of the Year.

This recognition is not mine alone; it reflects the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of our entire school community – including teachers, staff, students and parents. At Wales International School, we’re on a journey to excellence, and this award serves as affirmation that we’re on the right path.
